In the last decade there has been important changes in communications. In industrialized countries, where almost all households have a computer, cable TV or satellite TV, multiple phones and other new techniques, people receive and exchange information using these means, especially through the network global Internet.

These technical innovations are gradually spreading also in the less developed countries. The main media of the past, the radio, is giving positions and talk radio and its listeners are decreasing. People listen to radio on all the wheel of his car, during trips made, and tends to prefer local stations that broadcast in ultra-short wave.

Regardless, the listeners of talk radio on medium wave and short total more than one billion people, especially the large population countries such as China, India, Indonesia, Africa, America.

In recent years it has tried to modify and modernize the ways that radial diffusion is performed. Innovation best known for the people is the issue of the programs on medium wave and short digital formats: the so-called DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale). Today, 13 years later, we can say that technology turned out to be flawed or not sufficiently developed. The main difficulties in its implementation, such as broad band emission, difficulties in the reception, the high cost of radio receivers and poor security of the reception, among others, were not overcome. The radio Bayerischer Rundfunk Bavaria has ceased digital broadcasting, and in recent days was reported that the joint transmission of the BBC and Deutsche Welle will also be gradually ceased.
Other types of digital technologies for ultra-short wave broadcast dissemination not charged. The DAB system in Europe and other countries as well as analog systems XM and Sirius, which exist in America, not won many admirers among the listeners.

As in the radio, such innovations also failed to broadcast on television. This applies, for example, the radio company World Space satellite. Were taken three geostationary satellites in orbit with the help of a common antenna, but with a TV special, you can tune television broadcast directly from satellites.

Both in the case of World Space as well as those mentioned in the digital radio technology, was not taken into consideration the factor of the hearing. In fact, the thousands of listeners suggested they get rid of the billions of TV and radio receivers available to buy new equipment, expensive and unreliable.
So, at least for now, the conventional broadcasting retained their old positions, with hundreds of millions scouting around the world.
